We Broke the 6:30 Rule: Haunted House Story from Vasai

I used to live in vasai about 10 to 15 years ago when I was in the 6th standard. There was a particular building at the edge of the residential area—after it, there was nothing but an open ground where we used to play football. The building had been deserted for years, and its structure was odd, always giving off eerie vibes. It stood isolated, disconnected from the rest of the neighborhood.

We were a junior crowd, playing football with the senior boys. They always warned us, “No one should be here after 6:30. Leave before it gets dark.” We never questioned it; we just listened and left on time. But one day, curiosity got the better of us, and we asked a friend why this rule existed.

The Eerie History Behind This Abandoned Building

He told us the building had a terrifying history. When it was newly constructed and people started moving in, a family of four settled on the second floor. After only a few days or months, tragedy struck—one family member committed suicide by jumping from the floor, while another took their own life inside the house. The remaining two were found in a state of crazyness and fled. When the police found them separately and tried questioning them, neither could remember what had happened inside the house. It was strange and unsettling.

As time passed and the story faded, new tenants moved in. But the same thing happened again—two or three people lived there, only to abandon the house within days or months. They went crazy and they left everything behind, as if they had fled in terror. After that, no one dared to enter the building. It remained untouched, lifeless, without a single light flickering inside.

The Night I Saw the Paranormal Activity

One summer evening, we were caught up in our game. The senior boys weren’t around, and the sun was still up, so we lost track of time. It was already past 6:30 when someone suddenly said, “It’s late; we should leave.” We hurriedly packed up and started walking past that eerie building.

The Ghostly Hand in the Window – Was It Real?

I couldn’t help but glance at it. That broken window on the second floor—I was afraid, but something inside me wanted to take a quick peek. The first time I looked, nothing. But when I looked again, my heart froze. I saw a hand sliding across the window.

I immediately looked away, too scared to say anything to my friends. We walked away quickly, never speaking of it again. To this day, I still wonder—was it real, or was it my imagination? But deep down, I know what I saw.
